About my Interests in Psychology
Alright guys. Seeing that we have to write about a branch of Psychology that interests us, I thought I'd at least choose one with some relation to my life. As a college athlete who spends his days at work, in class, or playing football, sports Psychology was my first choice. According to the American Psychological Association, Sports Psychology covers such topics as "Motivation to persist and achieve, exercise adhearance and well-being, expertise in sports , etc." Now when it comes to being a sports psychologist, it's not a walk in the park. Very few people are able to get an entry position with a only bachelors degree; most require a masters or doctorate in clinical, counseling or sports psychology. Along with these degrees there is some direct training involved. A Sports Psychologist can get jobs with colleges, professional sports teams, and even in the military.
